Lets start getting some numbers together.
Does the MX5 club have meetings where we can discuss these ideas?

PT,
I can take it to the next committee meeting if you like (6/4). Have a look at the calendar and see when you want to do it, the 1st weekend of the month is usually free so people from all chapters can attend.
Let me know the details, I don't see a problem doing it, it will all come down to timing it right to get max attendance.

Same here.
I assume all financial club members can attend committee meetings but cannot vote?
Where can one get a copy of the club constitution?
Andrew.

AFAIK, the rules don't make any specific mention of ordinary members attending (or being precluded from attending) committee meetings. Most wouldn't want to I suppose.
Club rules (PDF) are on the club website. Download a copy for later reference. Submit suggested amendments to the secretary - be quick B4 she goes .

They are held at Grand Prix Mazda at Aspley in their boardroom. Start at 6.30pm and generally occur on the first Thursday of the month unless a number of committee members can't attend.
There is nothing stopping members from attending, just as mentioned before they don't have voting rights at the meeting.
It is not the most exciting of meetings that you will attend.

Abyss,
Would that be correct forum for me to bring up potential club runs?
Cheers
Paul

Yes, that's the perfect place to bring them up.
I found out today that the meeting has been moved due to unavailability of committee members to Tuesday (tomorrow) night at the same time.
I will get it put on the agenda and even if you can't make it, I will let them know what it is all about and get an answer for you.

Thanks Peter, I'll do my best to get there. Where do I go once at Grand Prix? I assume at 6:30 they're shut.

We are actually upstairs in one of their holding sheds. You have to walk down a dark alley till you get to a blue door, do the secret knock and take 5 steps back, then........
It isn't the easiest place to find so if you can't see anyone hanging around, ring my mobile (I'll PM it to you) and I will come and get you. The door could be locked. It's behind the main showroom in a separate building (not service/parts).
