BP bare engine block

Now this is a minor mystery! I have no Idea where this came from, or the story attached to it. Presumably it was a block I bought and put away for the/a future rebuild, and promptly forgot about it - out of sight, out of mind. It only came to light as I went about a major cleanout of my sheds.

Photos tell the story. Block looks to be in top shape, bores clean (freshly honed?), new welsh plugs, new paint. All bearing caps present, but otherwise what you see is what you get. Happy for any inspection, happy to answer any questions, but I don't know any more than what I have set out here. Happy to take more photos if you need to see something better.

$400. Australia Post are not going to like this one, so probably collection/delivery is the go. I might be persuaded ($) to deliver in the Canberra/Sydney/South Coast region.

PMs only please.

I guess you finding that was a nice suprise. One benefit of a dodgy memory.

Yes, I found it last year when I was getting rid of my old Gary Stewart block, and the short BP. It was wrapped up, obviously an engine, but what engine?

This is what I found when I unwrapped it, it looks to be in such good condition that I SHOULD be able to recall the details, but not so

Hopefully someone can make good use of it.
