That's a great bit of kit, at a great price.
I have one waiting to install, but you got the cast elbow instead of the lobster welded one that came with mine, yours is much nicer!
GLWS.

Does anyone know about installed Kraken setups?
Would they supercede a nice NitroDann twistmount?

Probably better to start a new thread about them, than clutter up this FS thread. But the short version is, a cast manifold will outlast a welded manifold. Rather than discus further here though, start a new thread and it can be discussed in detail.

I think beavis has one on his car.
Cast manifold > welded manifold (less likely to crack - just look at how many FM/BEGi cast manifolds are still going strong)
Dann gets some de\cent performance from his builds but EFR turbos are generally considered to be "the ducks nuts" on MT.net.
Somwone should have snapped this up already.

I still have this setup available, you can't get these cast dumps anymore, grab a bargain.
Price is firm, message for a shipping price.

I got mine from TCS Automotive for USD$1,362, but it looks like they've shut down. That was the best price I could find, even when factoring in shipping and customs. I just Googled the PN and checked a whole bunch of prices, went through the checkout to get shipping costs as well.
They are a superior turbo to the Garrett's, but much more expensive to acquire in Australia. But I honestly don't think they give up too much to the Gen II GTX2860. I guess you need to look at the savings of buying a 2nd hand mani+dump and new EFR, vs buying a new mani+dump and a new Garrett. I suspect it'll be cheaper to go the Garrett route.
You don't need to buy a BOV for the EFR, or a boost controller, so small savings there. You should however buy an adjustable wastegate such as the Turbosmart IWG75 for both - you don't want these guys running full steam with the default wastegate spring on a stock block.

thanks for the detailed reply. even MT.net says the prices of the EFRs vary wildly so i think ill stick with a cheap cheap garett and work up to a 2860 as power dreams permit

That's a solid plan. Even a Garrett based china-charger will suit for the interim, they all fit the same allowing you to upgrade as funds and rods permit

I bought my 6758 via a Spares Box deal on EBay. I think it worked out to about $1850.
I have seen new in box 6258 on FB marketplace cheap from time to time. It’s worth shopping around until you find a deal.
