Please don't be offended if your post is deleted because it doesn't meet the following.
This section is for MX-5 Parts ONLY
Please state "FS" (for sale), "WTB" (wanted to buy) or "EOI" (expression of interest) and what part it is in the subject field.
In the message body make sure you try and cover the following where possible:
Item Name
Which MX-5 models it fits
Item description / condition
City/State/Area etc. the item is located in
Pick-up or Conditions of Delivery
Price and and payment stipulations
(Don't include contact details - use the forum message function)
Pictures
Please remember:
Strictly no commercial advertising - This includes importing/reselling second hand items.
No selling your items within someone else's for sale ad.
Buyer beware.
This forum can not take any responsibility for items or transactions conducted here, please be cautious.
No price bashing:
If you feel the price someone has advertised for their product is too high, then don't buy it. It's that simple, your opinion in their for sale post is not warranted .
Price bashing is underhanded and will not be tolerated.
If someone has priced their item too high it simply won't sell and they'll have to lower the price or withdraw the item.
It it typical that someone wants the best price for their item and they'll start with a high price and drop the price until the item sells.
You MUST name your price
This is not Ebay and it's not to be used to link members to your ebay.
To avoid issues, condition of parts and prices (including shipping/handling/boxing etc.) must be made obvious.
Even if it's an EOI you MUST name the price you'd sell the car or item for.
Contact details
Don't put your phone number or email address in posts, spam bots retrieve these and your email or phone number will be added to spam lists. Use the private message function of the forum.
Bumping your post:
I'm pretty tolerant, a bump now and then is ok, daily bumping may see your item locked or deleted.
When your item has sold:
Go to your for sale add and press the "report post" button, it looks like this:
Report the post as "This item has sold please change the thread title", and i'll update the post.
Editing, deletions and banning
MX5cartalk.com management reserves the right, but undertakes no duty, to review, edit, move or delete any material provided for display or this forum, in its sole discretion, without notice.

Editing (and deleting) your own posts
You can't edit your posts within 30 minutes of making the post.
Editing has been disabled. In the past we have had issues where members buy an item but its not as described or there's an issue but the original add/description photo has been removed. This is also why we won't delete an item after it is sold. For this reason do not put your mobile number etc. on the forum.
We have also had an issue with people who try and use the forum to trade goods (which isn't fair on the forum sponsors), this way they can't keep changing the items in their add.
The added benefit is that members have to consider what they type rather than be rude or aggressive and then edit their posts later once they realise their comments could be defamatory. If you don't have something positive to add then don't post.
If someone needs to edit a post because the technical information is incorrect then they can contact a mod and we can edit the post for them.
