Hi.
Have had the car finished for a while and decided to see what gains have been made.
The engine block crank rods is as it left the factory. I have added:
Tighe 805 cams with adjustable cam gears
Modified Alex Cowie cylinder head 10.4 compression standard valves eibach valve springs
4 into 1- 1.5/8 inch staggered length primary extractors with high flow cat and 2 1/4 inch exhaust
Cold air intake with heat shield
standard ecu
timing set at 14 degrees
Made 95.7 rwkw at 7000rpm-very happy with the result. No the dyno is not happy if anything its the other way.
The only thing which needs attention is the afrs so I guess a safc is on the cards.

Do you have a print out?
That's very good power for the mods performed.
I've heard of some ITB set ups making about the same power.

Hi.
I can't post the dyno sheet up until next sunday. The reason is I am not very computer literate and my son will do it for me and I will take notes. Sometimes I feel I have been missing a lot by not learning how to do these computer things. I must remedy this.

Do you know what the modified head flows? I'm curious to see how much other modified heads flow.

I assume it's (primarily) pistons not a head shave that's given you the 10.4 compression?

Hi.
Compression is with standard pistons 30 thousand off the head and a 1mm maruha steel head gasket which is 10 thousand thinner than a standard gasket. So 40 thousand all up.

Re: ralts 1.6 has been on a dyno
Hi Weevil.
No numbers before as it is a long nose import motor which was described as low kms engine and a strip of the head and sump tends to confirm that. Drives good does everything a good motor should. There is no rocket science to getting reasonable power from these engines using the standard ecu and injectors. You live at Kariong don't you? The reason I am asking I visit my mother every couple of months and you are just up the hill from her.
Send me a pm with contact details and when I am next down you can have a drive.
