- Reconditioned Engine (By Ful-Tech Automotive)
- X force Extractors
- 2 1/4" exhaust with high flow cat
- Jackson's Racing CAI
- Wolf V500 ECU
- Few external things i did as well, like suspension etc... Nothing to improve the result though.
I got 94.7kw at the wheels which i was extremely happy with, from Ace Carborators in Clayton.
I now have an AVO Stage 2 Turbo and will be dynoing it in the next couple of weeks, so i'll keep you all posted!

Sure am
Would like to up it but not sure if it will be safe.
Been contemplating a decomp plate and upping it to 10lbs with a boost gauge.
Have it on 7lbs and if someone wants a run or i got to DECA, just switch it to 10lbs.

Sounds good, may I suggest you do some research before you go down the decompression route, you should be able to run 10-11lbs with out sweating
Cheers

Even if ive ported the head?

Porting the head doesn't effect the compression ratio, it only effects the gas flow into and out of the head.

So running 10-12lbs shouldnt be an issue then?
I have adjustable cam gears. So could i increase the boost through them as well?

Hey Chris,
If you run a safe tune, richer afr than the compression ratio should be ok. Suggestion!!! look at running water/meth injection.
Altering your cam gears should have been done at dyno. Altering both or either one will alter your torque at set points of your rpm range.
It won't alter boost
FYI a mates Starlet runs 14.2 to 1 with turbo but then its only a nannas' shopping cart
248kph at the end of PI straight.
You will always want more hp but don't be tempted to keep upping the timing, can eat motors very quickly if too high!!!

Was the head decked or shaved?
As Terry says, detonation kills engines so be careful - but yeah, 10psi is totally doable on stock compression.

I had a stock B6 motor and ran 15psi with out an issue. I now have a stock BP motor with 15psi and it has been tuned to 200rwkw. it dosnt use oil and I give it a very hard time.
