Coilovers

Hi
After a lot of research I have ordered a set of V-Maxx xxtreme coil overs for my SE.
They appear to be good value for money and recommended by FM.
They cost me $800 landed from Germany. BC's are $1250 ,with GAZ out of the UK I would have to pay import duty and GST,I asked them to make two packages but they would not.
Will give my opinion when they are fitted.
Cheers
Steven

That is a good price then, much cheaper than from FM. From the FM site I'm guessing these are the 391/258 lb/in springs (roughly 7kg/4.5kg). I'll be very interested in your thoughts once you've drĂven on them for a while.

Have the rears in ,easy! A problem removing the passengers front, the two nuts holding the hat have rounded and will not budge!

You need some of these bolt grip sockets, have saved me plenty of drama removing rounded or damaged nuts/bolts over the years ...

Regular 6 flats sockets will probably do the job too.

I'm curious too, but didn't want to derail the For Sale thread.
Not to your liking?

Can the OP please update this thread on his opinion on these coilovers?
I tried to purchase a set a week or so ago from the same eBay seller, only to have them rejected by customs and returned to Germany (apparently the seller's paperwork was incorrect or insufficient).
Now I'm wondering whether I should take it as a sign and just go yellowspeed next time I find a 10% off coupon...

What sort of opinion can be formed from 100kms?? Take longer for them to settle before adjusting and a decent wheel alignment to suit ...

Hi
I only had them on for short time, the new owner asked for the factory suspension to be put back on, my initial opinion is that they are excellent, IMO far better than the other well known brand of coilover they replaced.
Cheers
