Hi
I am keen to talk to someone with experience re Lovell's coils, I have ordered a set of KONI Yellows sport for my NB SE and unsure as what springs to get.
Lovells are linear, Kings are progressive, I tried Kings with the oem Bilsteins and hated it, seemed to float on the progressive coil until you loaded it up, if that makes sense.
Any {polite} advice would be most welcome.
I tried to discuss it with KINGs but they politely told me to go away.
Cheers
Steven

How did you find the SE silver Bilsteins with the red MazdaSpeed springs?

Plenty to info out there about progressive versus linear spring rates. But judging by your description of progressive floating until loaded. Then linear is probably the way to go for you.

As above, if you want the "stiff all the time" feeling, go linear.

Progressive are by their nature softer at lighter loads and stiffen with load (ie: cornering)

personally I love them for road use, you get comfort and the ability to have the car not feel skittish over bumps, but it's all about preference.
