NA/NB Rear LCA Captive Nut stripped - Long term fix?

When i was popping the stock suspension back into my car for RWC, i pulled out the LCA bolt for one strut and found that some numpty in the past had crossthreaded and stripped the bolt (presumably just uggadugga'd it in when putting the coilovers on).
Now it is just this one in here:
Which given that it sits in a little cage, rather than being securely attached to the LCA is a pretty solid candidate for cross threading.
As you can see i already have a spare arm to put in (after some rust treatment). But wondering whether anyone cuts the stock nuts out and replaces them with a longer nut with more thread, or similar?
Or is it just a matter of replace when borked?
