Weird ABS Problem?

Postby Shadgrind » Sat Nov 19, 2016 7:47 pm

I have a Mk2 1999 with ABS. When I bought it, it had an ABS problem. Fixed with two new front sensors. Then was OK for a week, before the light cam on again. Fault codes 11,12 and 13 front left, right AND rear right? Checked the front two with multimeter. 1.6 k ohms. Did some other stuff I found by trawling the web, pumped the tyres up drove on full lock doing figure 8s. Unplugged and Rep lugged the ABS pump.

Then posted help to three U.K. Forums, To no avail, so posting to the other side of the world! HELLLPPPP!!!!

NB8A? Ours didn't have ABS, except for the low volume 10AE.

Try cleaning both the rings and the sensor probe.

Are you measuring the resistance at the computer?

Try plugging in another computer and see if the problem goes away. Your computer is probably separate from the unit, my jdm car had it in the footwell.

Good luck!

I never met a horsepower I didn't like (thanks bwob)
