15x7.5 8.5 +23 How will they fit?

Postby LittleRed5 » Thu Apr 07, 2016 2:05 pm

Hey guy,

I am in the market for some new wheels for our NA6 and have found a set in a 15x7.5 and 8.5 with a +23 offset.

Now I've done my homework on wheels and yet I still cant find any information on these sizes to give me peace of mind before committing to the buy, hence my post.

Has anyone dealt with similar sizes and offsets that can shed some light on how well these will fit? Maybe even a pic?

I know the rear will need a lip and slight pull but not sure on the front.

The car will shortly be on coilovers running negative -2 front and rear camber.

Thanks for any info guys!

I have a set of 15x8 +7 front and rear. Guards are rolled only. On Tein SS coilovers. Front are maxed out but still need to drop the rear more. No scrubbing so far and I don't envisage the rear will be a problem after I drop it further.

Front and rear lips rolled, no pull did rub when springs were real low (gone soft) . Now running reasonable ride height for driveways and dirt track.

Staggered is a pain in the ass / expensive to even out tire wear (and you're likely to get decent camber wear on the rears). Wider rear also promotes understeer and at 8.5 everything you'll need at least a 225 wide tire to be legal (rims are probably illegal regardless though)

Thanks for the reply mate, spot on info.

In the end I've decided against the wheels due to staggered width and am back on the hunt.

If anyone has any leads on some 16x8 with an offset to suit an NA please let me know as I'm after some asap.
I'm located in Melbourne
