Go to a wrecker and find a master cylinder cap that fits.

Drill a hole in the cap.

Use compressed air in that hole.


Also some mx5 models already have a hole in the cap that fits an air blower nozzle pretty good.

Yeah, tried a reverse bleeder kit of a different brand for a particularly stubborn non-MX5 & it failed miserably, so bought a top down system like Dann mentions above.

The Motive is cheaper OS, but couldn't find one in Australia at the time, & shipping was high as per: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=70082

The reverse bleeder sounds interesting, but I wonder about clearing air from the top of the wheel cylinder. The inlet from the master would have to be higher or at the same level as the bleeder, or surely the air would remain trapped at the top of the wheel cylinder? And if that were the case, it would never have bled properly through the bleeder ... It would work fine for just doing a flush, but I would then do a conventional bleed to finish up.

I have just bought, but not yet tried, one of these vacuum bleeders for quick single handed bleeds at the track.
