Yokies

Hi all,
This is my first post, so please excuse me if what I'm asking has been covered extensively. As you can probably appreciate the extent of content on here is extremely overwhelming for a newbie.
I am able to source some Yokies. They are 225/50/16.
My question has anyone fitted these or found they are un-fittable on a NA.
My rims are 16x8 (rear).
And 16x7.5 (front).
Thanks in advance for any info.
Chris.

Welcome

Try
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html to check tyre sizes. Looks like those yokies (yokohamas? Which ones?) will be quite a bit larger than the stock, quite a lot in fact.

G'day.
It will all depend on wheel offset, ride height and camber, aswell as it your guard have been rolled.
Im sure with a reasonable amount of camber, and a reasonable offset wheel (30 to 40), they should be fine.
Cheers,
Ken.

I've tried 225/50r15 Yokie A050s on 15x7 et 35 rims on my NA8. Even with big negative camber and rolled guards they fowled at the front a lot. 225/50 would be that much bigger on 16" rims and I can't really see them fitting.
Mine were fine at the back though.

Thanks for all the help. I have 30mm spacers at the moment. I was thinking they would have to removed to get the tyres on the car.
For what I am paying for the Yokies AO50's I will see how I go and repost the results.

The rolling diamater will be too large I believe at around 630mm. I run 225/50 in the same tyre and feel this would be as tall as you should really go on a NA or NB but best of luck getting them to work for you.

Unless you've got flares or serious fender roll/pull you're going to have a hell of a time trying to get 8" wide wheels with 30mm spacers and 225/50r16 tyres to fit.
What's the offset on those wheels?

The spacers can be removed. I don't know the offset, is there a sure way to measure/tell what the offset is. I do know they are 3 piece wheels and the backs are offset more than the front...

What wheels are they?
Someone on here will be able to identify them and possibly the offset.
The offset is usually stamped where the wheel mates to the hub and/or appears on the barrel sticker.
