Hi guys, my na m5 with Bilstein shocks feels like there is no suspension at all when going over speed bumps with larger drops. Even at very slow speed.
The shocks looks fine no leaks or damage from what i can see and also i don't think the spring was cut. (not sure) The car does look lower then my previous NA with stock suspension.
The knock is mostly from the front two suspension but sometimes it happens on the back as well.
Thanks in advance

There's no diagnosis for this one in a forum. It could be anything: broken sway bar mount, loose chassis brace, broken engine mount, loose PPF bolts, failed control arm bush, failed damper, loose radiator, broken headlight mounting, loose underbody tray, absolutely anything ...
You need to get it up on a hoist and go over it bit by bit.

The Bilsteins, even with the OEM NA6/NA8 black spring, do lower the car slightly.
If you're convinced it's the shock itself, the Bilstein shock bottom bush can be a weak point:

Re: NA Bilstein Shock Veery LOUD Boom going high speed Bum
Hi, thanks for the response, i'm certain its from the shock itself. It happens on all 4 shocks.
But most noticeably on the front left and rear right. Maybe because when i go over high speed bumps i always have to turn toward the left?
