Mazda MX-5 SP Turbo 2002

Quick question please.

I understand from a good source that the MX5 SP Turbo uses the same springs and shocks as the standard NB8B.

Will these fit my 1999 NB8A without any modification? I would imagine that even in stock form the NB8B/SP springs and shocks would be stiffer than my stock NB8A setup.

I can get a complete set front & rear from a 50,000km SP Turbo for $200. Good value or waste of money?

Thanks, David

I personally wouldn't bother.
From memory the SP gear was all just standard NB8B, which is pretty much the same as what you've got.

The SE had stiffer, slightly lower, springs.

Same as stock NB8B. Definitely don't bother. Spend your money on something better - SE Bilsteins, Tiens, Bilstein PSS9s or MCA etc .

Thanks Richard and everyone else. Will invest in your collective wisdom rather than waste my cash.

Much appreciated.
