Caster Advice.

Postby narita » Tue Jun 17, 2014 4:30 pm

I have recently depowered my rack, as since they rack was out of the car I need an alignment.

I called a local chain tyre store we use through work for the fleet cars and explained my situation and they said they cannot adjust caster on my car because there is no adjustment, and unless my car has camber tops they cannot do that either? please school me up so I can explain to them it is possible.

thanks

Wouldn't it be better to go to someone who knows what they are doing, rather than pay someone to learn on your car?

what they are really telling you is that they are not competent and shouldn't be allowed to touch a car.

They are morons. Find someone else to do the job.

Adjusting caster and camber on an MX5 is a bit of a pain as when you move one elliptical adjuster, it changes both caster and camber at the same time. So it takes patience and skill to get it right. Your person apparently has neither.

Thanks for the prompt replies.

I spoke to pedders and will give them a shot. They seem to be able to give me what i want.

Pedders are fine. They know suspension and will happily set it up how you want it.
