Hi.
I have the opportunity to buy wheels as above.
The question is will they fit without having to roll the guards and will a 195 50 tyre fit?. If not what do you recommend.

You will need to roll the guards but they will fit fine.

its a very common size.

if you google search those specs with "miata mx5" you should fine what your looking for,

otherwise you can also use willtheyfit.com

OR

you can do some old fashioned brain work and measure it.

I have this size and offset. No guard work at all. No scrub, wheels fit fine.

A good sized pothole on heavy lock and you will crease your guard when the tread catches on the lip and unrolls it. Ask me how I know.

I had 15x8+25 on my NB, with 205/50/15 and it clipped the rear guards slightly.

8A and 8B are the same.

Rolling the guard lip is easy anyway.

Guard clearance is also gonna depend on ride height.

True, but who runs 15x8 +20 at standard ride height? :) Even at stock height, a good pothole with some decent steering lock and unrolled guards is asking for trouble.

Why not just roll the guards? It's not hard and if done right it won't even chip the paint.

How do you know? haha (kidding). A good sized pothole on heavy lock for any car (that is as roadster-y as the mx5) is bad news :p I do my best to avoid them!

i cannot do more than 15kph at full lock.

You can be going much faster when it's opposite lock.

i was more so wondering if he had 15's on a 8b since the brakes are bigger.
