Hi Guys,
Just a quick question due to my paranoia..
If there are some splodges of grease on my drivers side rear wheel, should I be looking out for anything? I noticed it today, no other wheels have the same marks on them, just the usual brake dust build up after a week or so of not getting a wash.
Sorry I'm not that good at the mechanical stuff

Check the rubber boots on each end of the drive shaft. Could be a split boot

Wheel bearing or CV joint.
Bearing you replace the whole thing.
CV you can just repack it and put on a new boot.

Re: Grease on drivers side rear wheel
yeah, most likely.
MX5 CVs don't wear anything like those on a FWD car since the MX5 ones only need to move up/down, not up-down and lock-to lock like a FWD
