time to ditch the AWFUL bendix advance pads and put on some new rotors...

i hear lots of talk about the TRW pads but is there a particular model of pad?

its for a 1990 NA6 turbo (standard small rotors)that will see a few track days a year.

i dont care about dusting or rotor wear

TRW pads are far from nasty. Nearly the same a QFM pads, but more dusty.

I've used TRW pads on my tuned NA6 and found them more than capable. Certainly no problem with fade for 10 - 12 laps of WP. The best part is they only cost around $70 and are treated to work up around 600 degrees celcius.
Check out this site, this is where I bought my pads from. I was more than happy with them and I expect you will also. No special order necesary, just buy the pads that are for your model.

650 degrees. they also have a high friction coefficient (0.47-0.52) so the stop when you put your foot down.

i have a trw twice in my car with rda slotted rotors. slots are gone by 100,000km, pads still have 50% meat left.

Thanks for that link. Guys like fattima and wozzah1975 who have come into the MX5 motorsport community after years of competing in Escorts have always talked about these as best bang for the buck performance pads. I didn't realise they were that cheap though.

Have a look from halfway down this page. viewtopic.php?f=30&t=51267&p=645287&hilit=lucas#p645287
