Weary of the thump, thump, thump from near new 195/50 R15 (Kumho) tyres, I recently refitted 14" Astina steel wheels, fitted with the new Yokohama Blue Earth 185/60 R14 tyres, to my NB8A. The 'ride' is absolutely transformed. No more THUMP. Ripples from road surface are still noticeable (car has Bilstein shockers) but the new overall driving comfort is extremely noticeable.
At $89 each, fitted, balanced and Nitrogen filled to 34PSI (from Bob Jane at Fyshwick A.C.T) these 14" Yoko. Blue Earth tyres have brought about an amazing improvement.
Just my three hundred and fifty six dollars worth...

It's 'horses for courses'..Regie. Please don't hold your breath tho' apropos me having a Prius conversion!! I've lately bought a real sports car, a 1970 MGB v8. Ditching the Michelins, this car will be rushing about on 185/70R14 Yoko. Blue Earth and be all the better for it.

I drove 3 track days on the previous model that these replaced, the A.Drives. 12,000km from new, this is what they looked like after my third track day, all of which were only half days. Treadwear rating 300, I guess they just break into pieces rather than wearing down.
