On a club run last weekend a space saver had to be used for about 300kms. I wonder how far (& fast) some one has dríven on one. A couple of years ago we followed a CX7 with a spacesaver on the front not holding anyone up on a partially wet Putty road

I have been considering space savers on the rear at one of the practice drift nights... so tempting...

Probably find tires are really expensive because no one ever drives them.
I've dríven on a space saver and its not fun. Feels like the wheel is disconnected from the car. I probably drove about 50km total of short trips. I kept checking to see if it was tight and it was.
I don't no what to expect of two on the rear I easily have too much fun on my very old very hard full treaded tyres in the dry

Space savers are fine but other drivers using them scare me. People seem to use them like a regular tyre.
A while back I was overtaken by a Mazda 3 on the freeway with one on the rear. A few kms further on I overtook the same car...only the space saver was missing and the car was facing the wrong way.

Drove hundreds of thousands of miles in these in the UK with four wheels and tyres roughly the same size as our space savers. No grip issues, mind you 602cc doesn't produce much power so didn't do much drifting.

I think we've worked out how to double the power of am MX5 - for less than $100.00. go to the wreckers and buy another spacesaver and away you go.

Space saver tyres are nothing like a regular tyre, they are not just skinny tyres.

A group of us did this in the UK back in 2008 on an NA6. It was a good laugh - would have been a bit scary if it was wet though...

Four space savers on an NA6? That is something I have GOT to try someday on the track. Looks like awesome fun. It's the reason why I absolutely love driving on wet tracks - keeps you on your toes and is heaps of fun.

I would want another to put on the front for a night at the drags.
