2x Ku31's 2x Yoko's

Postby 22Silver » Fri Oct 04, 2013 11:11 pm

I need to replace 2x rear tires tomorrow morning, and I opted for KU31's (read a few good things in the R-Specs thread, only $99 per tire, fitted, balanced, old rubber dealt with)

Anyways, I have 2x yoko's on the front with around 70% tread left. They feel pretty gooey and grippy. Would anyone recommend where to put the new tires? Do I tell them to put the new ones on the rear or front, or is there no benefits either way?

Read something a few months back saying best tyres need to go on the back every time, which surprised me.

Someone told me a while ago, when I got my tyres changed, that the brand new tyres should always go to the front and old tyres to the rear.
Apparently, the front tyres are the ones which actually keep your car from losing control when your rear tyres slide so the tyres on the front have to be in top shape.

If they are both good sets. I dont think it really matters. If it was time to be rotated, then I'd just put the yokos wherever they were gonna go next.
