Tyre width advice for Rota RB's on an NA.

Hello all,

I have taken the plunge and bought a set of 15 x 7 +25 Rota RB's, I don't want to flare the rear guards and I have yellow speed coil overs and the NA is quite low.

Will I get away with 205's or should I play it safe and just stick with 195's?

If you have any pictures of your RB's on the NA that would be great to see how the tyre looks.

Cheers

How low is quite low? How much camber are you running/want to run?

Johnd on this forum has Rota's 15x7 35 et and Kings and Koni's set on middle perch(I think). He runs 205's and gets a tiny bit of rub on really big bumps(not enough to worry about) so I think you would definitely be better sticking to 195's .

You will find his car on the NA wheels section of this forum on page 16.EDIT that's where I found his post when I did an author search under Wheels and Suspension but it isn't on that page when I went to check on the forum using the topic and going to page 16, so do the author search.
Good luck with whatever you do,

Peter

Hi Kallaroo, I've been looking into buying some RB's as well, with the same specifications. Would you be so kind as to post a few photos of the wheels fitted onto your/your mum's MX5?
Along with tire specs (did you go for 205's?)

Thanks heaps!
