Suspension height issues

Hey, so im having an issue getting my 1990 mx5 na to be at the right height, at the moment the gap between the guard and the tyre on the rear is double the size of the gap at the front. The car has KYB 8 way adjustable shocks and lowered king springs. I have checked the king spring part numbers and they are all the correct lowered models, the shocks seem to look right but i dont know for sure as the previous owner installed them. Does anyone have an suggestions as to how i could fix this gap issue so the gap at the rear is the same as the front? Money is an issue, so coilovers aren't an option. thanks

you don't have rear and front springs mixed up?

What are your ride heights and what size wheels/tires are you using? Has the correct preload been set? Also Plohl's question.

+1

Maybe the bolts were all tightened up while still jacked up (suspension not under load)?

Yeh the first thing i checked was the springs, originally i found kmfl-52 in the front but i also found kmfl-52 springs in the rear which is wrong considering there front lowered springs. so i swapped the rear springs for kmrl-53 the correct lowered springs for the rear, the gap in the rear became slightly bigger. Im currently running 15x8 with 205/50.

Also here is a post I made on the forum when setting my preload http://mx5cartalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=744117#p744117.

If you have dificulties can you post a photo of your suspension?

I dont think u can set preload on shock n spring combo, not unless u run coilovers or sleeves with adjustable lower perches
