NA8 brake squeak

Hey all,

Got an annoying squeal coming from my (front?) brakes. It's not the typical high pitched metal on metal sound that you get when brakes are worn, it's a loud squeak. It only really happens at low speeds when lightly applying brakes, such as when crawling along in traffic.

I don't believe the pads/rotors are worn out, but could it be maybe that the pads are no good? Any other ideas?

Small stone jammed between the disc and the stone shield or caliper?

Hmm good suggestion that, I've had it happen before on another car!
I've got a day off work tomorrow, might pull the wheels off and take a look.
