first of all i apologise as i have no doubt this has been asked numerous times, i have had a search but haven't been able to find what i need

I am looking at buying some SSR MKII wheels in 15x8 for my NA, they offer 3 offsets -12, 0 and +12. i don't want to have to go down the path of extensive arch work on a freshly painted car. i think the +12 is probably the option i am leaning towards but would like to hear other peoples opinions on fitment

+12 will need guards rolled, and maybe even puled a little (unless you're happy to have a lot of negative camber.


I've got 15x8+25 with 205s on an NB, and they fit without a guard roll, just (the rear tyres only clip by about 1-2mm)
The NA has less guard space than the NB.


The fact that you're given options of the offset tells me you're maybe buying the wheels new?
Why not just get the offset you need/want. I'm pretty sure SSR have a large range of offsets available, and also can do custom.

Apoligies, I stand corrected. Only those 3 are listed on their website.
Regardless, I'm pretty sure they can do custom, there are lots of SSR MK2 out there that aren't one of those 3 sizes.

on a NA you will need 195/50 tyres. i have 15x8 +15 with -1 camber on all 4 wheels and just did a basic guard roll at home and its fine.

i have sent an email regarding custom offsets and see what they come back with. I am happy to roll guards a bit but just don't want to get too extreme and i do intend to use 195/50 tyres

if they do a custom offset should i get around +20-25?

Or do a couple more degrees camber get the 0 offset and run 195/45 ku31's. Keep in mind you will need to lower your car quite a bit not only to get more negative camber but also to make it look right. Wide wheels look horrible with wheel gap.

i don't think i want big camber, have got coilovers and this is how it sits on 949 15x7 right now but may go a bit lower when i get the SSR's.

Oh, one more thing I forgot.

I recall that some MK2s need a 5mm spacer to avoid the brake caliper clipping the spokes. I'm sot sure if this is for all MK2s, or just one kind (A face/Bface whatever)

Make sure to look into it before buying! (remember a 5mm spacer will reduce the offset by 5mm, so the +12 becomes +7)

They clear na6 fine. I've tried this with mk2. However if you have an na8 or nb brakes though, you wont clear them. 5mm spacer required for na8 onward.

I've got 205/50 tyres on my NA and they don't scrape. I don't know the offset (It's how I bought it). The guards are rolled & it has coilovers.

Those wheels don't even look close to being 8 inch wide or an aggressive offset. Tyres make a huge difference when your rims are level or sticking out of the guard.

Yeah, obviously not an aggressive offset, but like I said, they were on the car when I bought it & I don't know much about wheels. But the tyres are definitely 205/50, there doesn't appear to be any bulging, so I'm guessing they are 8" wheels. Here is a pic of the tyre head on.
