With the pending arrival of my brand new wheels, i'd like to prevent them getting stolen at all cost. Any recommendations?

Park it in a garage ;)

Or

make your car really fkn low so it is almost impossible to get a jack underneath it.

Look for something with an internal spline

What wheels did you get?

If they want the wheels, they will take the car. Invest in a good quality alarm system, don't park it anywhere dodgy and insure it (with the wheels noted). It's sad that we have to be careful about owning nice things nowadays.
Also maybe fit 2 sets of locknuts, but then I'd be concerned about having enough torque on the wheels.

Once I borrowed a friends Astra, which had nice 16" wheels, and had to do a job in an industrial are which finished late. Coming back to the car I see the glow from a cigarette as someone walks away. I drove off, but soon I hear and feel a banging from the front wheels. After pulling over I find 3 out of 5 nuts (including the lock nut) missing from the front left wheel. I had to borrow one nut from each of the rear wheels to balance things out and drive home.

If you want to, you can buy 4 different types of lock nuts and use 4 different ones on each wheel.
But in the end if they have a friend with a tow truck, you're screwed!
Just be cautious where you park :)
