Shock Mount

Postby toddl1 » Fri Nov 02, 2012 9:51 pm

I stripped the threads on my shock mounts when I removed my strut brace.
Rather than replacing the whole shock mounts is it possible to press out the old studs and put new ones in? Or does the whole unit need replacing?

Also, mine is the Bilstein shock model, are the shock mounts the same as standard?

I think the Bilstein studs are longer than the standard studs.

PS I think I have spare Bilstein shock mounts.

Hi, Thanks for the reply.

Do you know if the studs can be removed from the mount? or is it one complete unit?
