I was quoted up to $150 per wheel for preparation & painting. This was 3 cans @ $13 per can.

Nicely done.

I like the monochromatic exterior and how it's contrasted with the red interior.
It's a really nice colour combination.

I presume before you sprayed the black you stripped the old paint and primed etc? or at least scuffed up the old paint and gave it a good going over with prepsol?

If not there's a likelihood of the black chipping and flaking in the future (but then again, another can for $13 and you can just keep touching them up)

Nice paint job. You need white OEM front and rear lips to match the white painted lower sills, its a little white heavy in the middle imho.

Actually, I agree on this point, to a point.

I personally think painting the centre-lower panel black (as per stock) would look nicer. (granted, I dislike how the lips look once painted)

Agree :) My white f+r lips statement was based on the assumption that OP painted (and hence prefers) the sills white. If however a PO did it, I'd take it back to black too.

I prepared the wheels by sanding with 2 grades of sandpaper. The paint does chip easily althoug my local tyre shop (Jax) were careful when putting the tyres back on. I made a cardboard template i.e. a 14" hole, so that if a wheel needs a touch up I can re-spray without overspray on the tyre.

I tend to aggree that the lower panel, between the wheels, is it called the rocker panel?, would look better painted black. I may invest in some more cans of spray paint.

Do it. It will tie in nicer with your black wheels.
