Chaparral wheels and Yokies in... next.

Hey all, after many many many many months of waiting, I finally took delivery of my Chaparral wheels and Yokohama S-drives from RSpeed in the states. I gotta say, once they were in, they had them shipped out pretty damn quickly...
Now I can finally install my YSR Coilovers and fit the new tyres and wheels to the Red Jellybean!!!
Looking at the installation of the coilovers myself seems fairly simple if I had some car jacks to keep the car up.. OR is there anyone in Brisvegas keen to earn themselves a case of wine?? Save me heaps of cash and then only need an alignment done!

Had the same rims (different colour) and tyres on my previous 5.

Noice choice.

Cheers Peter... Wonder how many more mx5's are in Oz with Chaparrals? I know of yours and Bauer in Tassie and now mine, but that's it I think...

Thanks Bauer.... You installed the YSR's yourself didn't you? I'm doing some research in doing these myself.. Did you use the famed, "long bolt method"??

I have modified, changed and generally played around with the suspension on the four 5s that I have owned. I have always used the long bolt method.......

I assume that you will be removing each of the old Dampers and springs and inserting the new ones as one piece.....this will make it much easier.

Feel free to ask anymore questions.

Oh, have look here for some of the threads where I cover the Juffa 'no spring compressor' removal process.

The wheels look great as do the centre caps.

Don't suppose you could measure the centre caps? I'm curious to see if they would fit my 15" RPF1's which have always been centre cap deficient ...

No, never have. I have always just unbolted the swaybar link and the top ball joint. Couple of swings with a hammer to 'crack' the ball joint, a little bit of leverage and out pops the shock.

I'm an alien, I'm a legal alien
I'm an Melburnian in Brisbane

Wait until the locals call you a Mexican (from down South). It's not a term of endearment.

yeah Bruce I've had the Mexican calls but they should be reserved for QLD'ers to call NSW's!
