I've been trying to find Tein spring codes with no joy , does anyone knoe what the Tein spring codes B050-7VC1 and B060-7VC1 would translate to ?

On front and rear shocks.

If I had to guess (and this is just a guess) I would say the "12008" would probably be a build date.

January 2008 maybe? (1-2008)

We're talking about the numbers painted on the springs themselves, not on the shocks.

Thread revival but more related to Tein Dampers than springs.

Like Stig mentioned above, I also have a part number on my Tein Super Sport rear dampers that I would like to know a bit more about but can't for the life of me find anything on the web. To be more specific, they seem to be a bit soft and am wanting to know how I can adjust them to firm the ride up a bit if possible. Details on rear dampers are:
QEM41-Z1531
NB8C-R
12007

According to Fulcrum, QEM & QSM identifies the shock as Australian spec, whereas GAM or GSM identifies the shock as Japanese spec.

That makes sense but it's weird that the part number doesn't exist anywhere on the web. If it is an aussie spec damper, is it safe to assume it's built a bit more rugged to withstand our crap roads?

I also found out the 12007 bit refers to batch number and the NB8C-R obviously refers to vehicle model (I assume the NB8C coil overs fitted NA's).

In regards to adjustment, I have found that the Super Street's have 16 adjustment levels and the best way to adjust them is to turn adjuster screw all the way clockwise till it stops (hardest setting - 16) then click the adjuster adjust back to preferred setting. Which leads me to my next question, what is a good setting for sporty road use? The clown that owned the car before me had them set at 16 on front and 0 at rear (no wonder it felt sloppy). Should I just stick to a setting of 8 for F & R for starters?

This is the first car I've owned with adjustable coil overs so forgive me for all the questions.......

Start halfway and drive it for a few weeks.
Take note how it feels each drive, then work out how you'd like ti to feel.
Adjust as needed.


Has anybody thought the numbers maybe aren't a product code, and perhaps are a serial number? (ie: unique to each shock/set)

A serial number would explain why there's no listing anywhere, since each one would be differnt

Fulcrum advise Aust version are revalved & resprung for generally poorer road surfaces here compared to Japan.
