GAZ suspension is more common in the UK - you'll have more luck finding out what they're like on http://mx5nutz.com/ (a UK MX5 forum).

Reviews and comments on the UK sites are good by and large , though set up adjustments seem to of given the odd headache--given some of the accompanying comments I'm fairly sure that the faults were probably not with the GAZ kit though  .

I'm seriously thinking of getting a set do you know if the MK 1 kits need different strut tops or can the OE ones be used ?

I read a bunch of stuff from the UK on GAZ when I was looking at coilovers. My take-home was that the reviews were mixed. Some people said the stuff was good for the money, but not a really high quality product. We're talking yellowspeed not Xida.

Yup by and large thats my take on as well and a rebuild for 12 quid is a good until it's 13000 miles away  ,

There's also a few choice comments on BC that I came across while I was searching , the soap dodgers don't rate the asian stuff very well from what I found so far but with Bilstein and Eibach at the prices they get them at why would they.
