16" on nc for daily driving?

Hey guys, what are the potential benefits and disadvantages to running 16" rims and a wider width , 24/7 on the daily nc . Given a number of people track with 16" rims, would this benefit translate to daily driving ?

16" wheels were the basic spec wheel for the NC. I had a set for track wheels. They're fine for DD too. However, I believe the range of tyres available in 16" is limited and more expensive.
