This was originally posted in my garage thread but i thought i'd post it hear so others could search for it (and ask any questions) in the future. The original wheels were in pretty good condition but the clear coat was starting to come off at the edges. I wanted it to hopefully last another 20 years so opted for a complete respray rather than a mobile touch up solution.

I didn't have any gutter rash but they do repairs as well

Did you ask, when you were deciding on a wheel finishing place, if they did the M2 1028 style, of painted plus polished?

As you can see from the lettering on the wheel, this is the hollow spoke but painted/polished in the M2 1028 style.


There's nothing to stop you going in this direction in future with your car, since this is also a OEM wheel - and a NA wheel, even though it's not your car's original NA6 daisy wheel. Your car is a part-tribute to a M2 anyway.

@ Bizi,

This place pretty much does it all when it comes to wheels. They can also do car resprays but not panel repairs.

The M2 1028 look was very possible but i decided against this in the end.

I think you should consider ;)
