It doesn't pay to sit on your bum and wait for people to do what they said they were going to do DepartmentBeen speaking to MXCentre re these wheels ... put me down for a set - yes, we have you down for one ... yes we will let you know when they are arriving ... a couple of weeks ago got a date from them of late May.
Just spoken to a nice bloke there (actually Revolution Racegear), who told me they are arriving on 27th, I needed to order and pay right now or I will miss out, and that they have a couple left in my size/color, ...
So, if you want some of these and haven't already locked in your order, you had better be quick!

Yeah they don't do their rep any good the way they treat their customers. Unfortunately 949Racing don't sell directly to Australian customers, so if you want those wheels, you have to deal with the MX5Centre only.

I have never had any trouble, and i think i have bought more 6ul's than anyone. (7.0's, 7.5's, 8.0's, 9.0's. And i am ordering 10's soon. So that's every size they sell, lol.) Plus i have dealt with james for the past 3-4 years, buying other mx5 parts, new and 2nd hand with no dramas, even meeting him after hours to pick stuff up. That is great service....

So Lou, what's the ultimate 6UL spec to suit the NB?

Dave my personal preference would be 205s on 15x8 or 225s on 15x9.

I think 9's and 225's are the way to go. My car is no power house, but performs excellent with the wider wheel/tyre combo. All the info you read will tell you not to go wider, but lap times don't lie. Even for street it makes the mx5 more masculine.

Emilio from 949racing reckons that 205s on a 15x8 are the perfect street combination for a modified car and in the US, 225s on 15x9s are the preferred track combination for those not wanting to roll their guards too much.
Be aware that some guard rolling on the front may be required for 15x9s and you may need to remove your wheel liners.
For a N/A DD car, I think that a 15x7 or 15x7.5 on 195s would be a better option because they would be lighter and cheaper.
If I knew I was going to end up with 2 sets of rims/tyres, one for DD and one for the track, I probably would have ordered 15x7.5 rims for my 205 tyres instead of the 15x8s just because they're lighter and cheaper (I have 15x8 6ULs with Dunlop 205/50/15 Star Specs as my DD tyre and 15x8 6ULs with Toyo 225/45/15 R1Rs for the track).

Guys, thanks for keeping this thread alive
, but this discussion has nothing to do with the topic - ie anyone who wants these wheels needs to act quickly to secure a set from this production run.
That aside, the discussion is interesting and really warrants its own thread ...
