NB8B Caliper frame

Postby Luke » Fri Feb 17, 2012 11:16 am

Hi Guys

I have my brakes in pieces and have noticed something on the caliper frames.
This is for a NB8B SE.

One has a number on it YFSX16S3, the other YFSX16S2.

There is also a Z and S on the top/bottom of them (don't know which way is which.)

Does that mean there is a left and right frame?
If so which is which?
I have them mixed up as they were being cleaned.

Just so no body else has to go through the same hassle, Mazda Australia don't know because they only sell the brake system, ie caliper, caliper mounting frame, slide pins etc as one part number.

Mx5 parts UK confirmed that there is only one bracket and it is interchangable from left to right as it is symetric.
I put then back on and have no issues.

Also I asked my5 Parts UK if they do the seal kit for the 270mm brakes and they do, they just have it on there website. It is £49.66 each side plus postage.
