[NC] Double wishbone question

So guys, I have recently stuffed up my rear left wheel, the wheel is pointed inwards of the body at a 45 degree angle :frown:

I have taken a look at the damage and basically the upper link arm is bent, the lower arm are mangled around each other...from what I can tell, all that is required is to change those 3 arms, so my question is how much would it cost for those parts?

Oh and also should I just let any mechanic do the job or should I take it to an mx5 specialist?

E-mail Danny at MX5-PLUS, they wreck NC's and he may be able to help with both parts and technical advice.

MX5 Parts UK has the bits new at reasonable prices.

I'd suggest though that an insurance claim may be in order

There could be drive train damage and you'd also need to check for frame/chassis damage and will need a four wheel alignment after repairs. The NC rear suspension is multi-link and not double wishbone.

depends on what he was doing to get that damage.

Damage seems very similar to most P Plater commowhores have on rainy days.

As JBT said, I would bet there is axles damage aswell.

I'd go the insurance route. Wheel + suspension + axle + more not known = very expensive. Insurance = $500 all fixed.

Insurance are kind of funny though.

Make a claim = Premiums rise!

Lose licence = "oh no sir, that won't affect your premium"

Speeding fines effect mine. Insurance canceled if more than three fines in 3 or 5 years I think?

My insurance has gone down $200 since I made my last at fault claim in 2008.
You should change insurer...

Okay guys heres an update:

Took it to smash repairer and they managed to get me a free set of alloys of my choosing, so im upgrading my stockies.

That was the good news...

The bad news...Car has been gone for about 2 weeks and i was meant to get it back last wed, however as they were going though the final bits and pieces for the car they realise that the shock and shock housing has also been damage...now they gotta get the insurance company to do another assessment and then another 2 weeks wait  missing my car like crazy!
