Seized brake piston?

So I was getting ready to install all my new rotors and new brake pads when I ran into a dilemma. The rear passenger calliper was not responding to unscrewing or screwing the allen key. However, I started pressing the brake pedal and then the piston would push out, but would not go back in.

Is my piston seized? Should I start looking for a new calliper?

Cheers.

You have probably stripped the winding gear in the caliper. It happens. Replacements are available from Mazda or from places like Mania, mx5plus, or mx5parts.co.uk

There is heaps of info on this issue on the big forum.
