Im in newcastle and am looking for somebody who has a tyre regroover. or a shop who has one.
Any help?

Found a local joint. 30 bucks a tyre, came up nice. Got 3mm more tread.

Goodluck... you may really need it if it lets go on the track. You've just added more tread squirm to a lower thickness section of rubber too so you will be slower in dry conditions and it will overheat much faster... I can tell you from personal experience that the short window between greasy rubber/canvas and first getting through the tread is the fastest. Both the days I did 1:09's at Wakie I had bald A050's and V70A's which never saw another trackday after.

Cheers Mark.
Bloody expert on everything tyre and suspension related you are!
We will see how they go. They are 7 years old anyway, figured another day or 2 out of them for cheap wouldn't hurt.
Thanks,
Dann

Old tyres so no harm done but yeah you can run most semi's right down to nothing before ditching them....no real need to recut the treads unless you want them on the road or need the wet weather capability.

I figure that if I drive to Goulburn, and it starts raining, 60 bucks is insurance for the next 2 track days against rain. And I want to do 1 run on them.
Appreciate all of the advice,
Dann
