Where to buy NB tie rod/tie rod end in VIC?

Postby omega36 » Fri Dec 23, 2011 11:19 am

Hey guys,

I bought a set of inner and outer tie rods for my MX5 NB from Ebay and the parts did not fit :S

Does anyone know the correct thread sizes for an MX5 NB with power steering? And does anyone know where I can get these parts in VIC? Reason for VIC is so I can pick them up, put em in and get a wheel alignment done before everyone goes off on holiday!

Thanks!

Welcome to the obsession.....the obvious answer would be your local dealer...Some, such as Mulgrave Mazda will offer a discount for car club members.

Allmaz wreckers in Clayton may have the parts. You could always call them.

Edit....they are now closed until 16 Jan 2012

Good luck.

Thanks - I will check with Mulgrave Mazda, they are literally 2 minutes up the road from my work :)

yeah, the aftermarket ones are the wrong thread.

Allmaz may have them... slim chance. They're something you'll have to go genuine with.

You might be in luck with an NB in Aus... for NA steering components it's a 6 week wait from Japan through Mazda.
