Hey guys,

I have SSR Star Shark Rims on my NA8 which are covered in brake dust, so much so that after a light scrubbing (in fear of scratching the aluminium) there are still spots little of brake dust. I am going to buy some brake dust cleaner soon, but I'm not sure what to get incase it's too powerful or not suitable. I was going to try polish them, but I don't think that would work. Any suggestions?

There are still spots (which im not too concerned about since you can't see it anyway) after cleaning. Any ideas how to get rid of this?

I think they're beyond elbow grease and $$$ in products. I'd replace or, if they're precious, have them professionally restored.

I'd disagree.

They can certainly be cleaned up a lot more than that, the only issues may be the black spots which may not come off.

as for cleaning product, I use Power Wheel Cleaner from Final Inspection.

It's very good at removing brake dust, and also safe for paint (as in, if it gets on it won't damage it, but that doesnt mean it's a paint cleaner)

Pre wash stain remover hand pump spray. I use home brand around $3-$4, spray it on, scrub with a mag wheel type brush, wait two minutes hose of with lots of water and the brake dust is gone  . Try it! It does work very well.
