I went down to Donnellans the tyre men (Bridgstone dealer) and they have RE002 in 195/50/15 which i thought previously they wern't going to release...
The best price they would give my was $155 each or $145 each if we get a minimum of 5 ppl wanting to do a GB.
They also have in stock the RE001 in 185/60/14 and 195/50/15 which are $130 each
Can anyone else get them cheaper than this?
i seem to recall RE001's being only $115 each a few years ago...

The last set of RE001s I bought in January were about $115 each (185/60R14). That was from Bridgestone Select. NRMA members get a $5 discount per tyre, and they have a Caltex fuel card giveaway at the moment.

Correction ... it was mid February. Total cost with NRMA discount was $114 each, plus a $50 Caltex fuel voucher.

I just got my four brand new RE002's for $139 each from Bobjane at Castle Hill.
I was happy with that and they have them in stock.

I had a talk to Sam from Tyrepower Hawthorn, and he said he could do a group buy of 5 cars for $135 a corner. I'm assuming that's fitted and balanced as well...

I havent purchased yet, waiting for new wheels to arive. But the price on 195/50 15 was around the $129 mark, and teh 195/55 15 (for a different vehicle) is around $134 from memory. Next week this will also include a $50 voucher per set of 4 ...
Dunno why they didnt quote opver teh phone.. I was quoted over teh phone yesterday and I was in the middle of a meeting so I couldnt give them too much time and attention.. perhaps that made them angry...?

I believe a Costco membership is about $60, so even including the cost of the membership, it's still cheaper to buy from Costco than the initial quote you got
