KU36

I was very happy with the Kumho KU36 at QR yesterday.
I bested my previous clubman circuit best time of 72s which was on 185/60/14 Yokohama A048's with a 68s.
Started with 38psi cold based on a thread I read on miata.net which quickly rose to around 50psi HOT! I borrowed Saboteur's tyre gauge and dropped to 37 hot which felt much better. It would be interesting to know what that would be as a cold pressure.

it can be very hard to set a cold temp for tires
just go say 5 psi under what you want hot then check them when you come in
qr will have tires everywhere as the front left will get hoter then the rest
i was checking and changing all day long
but did find what i was looking for and the right amount of grip

37psi hot = about 32-33psi cold depending on how much you are pushing when cornering and braking.
I think the most I tried was 36psi cold.

On the track with my 595RS-Rs and now with my R-S3s, I start at 32psi cold (depending on ambient temp) and aim for 36psi hot. I usually have to bleed down 1 or 2psi after my first run. I generally add between 3 and 5psi to hot and cold temps if it's really wet and cold.

For track work I ran my RSR's at 36 psi hot as they have an R spec style of construction. I now have KU36's, as I am running in standard class, and I run these at 40 psi hot as they have a standard construction. I set the tyres 4 psi less cold and adjust after each of the first 2 runs.

I think we ran the KU36 at 37f 36r hot and it didn't feel too bad. It really needed some more playing with the shocks before I got too carried away with tyres. Still managed a 65 out of them on a stock NB8A with only mods being some missing interior and tein super streets. I was very impressed with these tyres as road tyres which aren't bad on the track.
