empty brake fluid reservoir

Hey,
So I did a silly thing while changing brake calipers, I let the reservoir empty (wasn't paying attention). Now, for bleeding there is going to be an exceptional amount of brake fluid in the lines (I also changed the brake lines, so even more so I guess). My question is I have brought 3 bottles of RBF600 (got a good deal), and I don't want to waste it. Should I begin bleeding with some cheaper fluid, or if I fill reservoir with RBF and then begin bleeding, by the time RBF gets to caliper there will be no air in that line?

I don't know what that stuff is worth but unless it's super exy I don't think I would bother. I think you would be better off bleeding all the old stuff out and ensure you only have one type left in there. If you add another cheap bottle you run the risk of having three different types of fluid in the system. Sort of defeats the purpose of using good quality fluid. One bottle should just about do it I would think. Definately wouldn't use more than two.

You may as well use it up, it doesn't generally have a good shelf life.

When I fitted new brakes and lines I didn't use more than 2 bottles.

If you have let the tank empty out. Then there will be a air pocket between the 2 fluids anyway. You'll know when the fluids change eaily.

You'll only need 2 bottles. I did a complete flush of my system with RBF600 and still had 200ml left in the 2nd bottle. That was with roughly 30-40mm of the new stuff coming out when bleeding per corner.

See if you can get your money back for the 3rd bottle.

Or do the clutch?

I used three bottles to completely refill my empty brakes and flush the black stuff that was pretending to be DOT4 out of my clutch lines. Took forever to bleed the clutch...
