Hello all,

I am going to buy a set of 15 x 7 Rota RB wheels out of the states and am not sure what offset to get, I do not want any of the tyre outside the standard guards, can someone please advise me.

The yanks have a saying - 'friends don't let friends drive on Rotas' ... ... so I suggest you do a search on the big board (Miatanet.com) before you jump. That way you can make your own judgement about whether/what to buy. Best to inform yourself before you rely on advice from people you don't know.

If I was buying wheels, I would go for RPF1s, or the 6ULs, but that is just me.

PS I expect the search function here will throw up an answer to your question, and browse around, there are lots of photos on wheel-related threads. Have a look on the 949Racing (6UL wheels) site, they used to have pages of photos of different wheel sizes/offsets on different MXes.

stock offset is +40. I am running 15x7 +38 with no problems. To stay safe I would think you should be right between 35 to 40mm. Of course it will depend on ride hieght as well.

I've just been through this process. I have purchased a set of 15x7 Rota RBs from the States, 35 offset, they are not on the car yet but the research I did suggested that I should have no problems here...

www.good-win-racing.com is a good site for wheel advice, they sell the Konig Rewinds that look similar to the RBs. My preference is for the slightly sharper looking RBs though!

I purchased my set through ebay, $680 delivered with a set of hub-centric rings and new lug nuts too. They were delivered this week and out of the box, they look fabulous. Lots of cooos from my work colleagues!

If you need tyres, this helpful forum suggested that the Kumho KU31s were a good choice so I have gone with those. Well worth getting some wheel alignment done once the new wheels and tyres are on the car too.

My car should be on the road with its new wheels and tyres in a couple of weeks so I'll let you know how it looks and drives!

I have had RB's and have friends running them and none of us has had any trouble so would buy again.
15x7 38 et looks good on my Chaparrals so i would go 35 with the RB's as has Johnd and if you do a search you will see how good they look on a Neo Green(My post on for sale forum)

If you can get them for the $680 quoted go for them, even with the strong dollar that is a great deal!
