Does anyone have any knowledge of the I.L. Header Stainless 4-1
http://www.ilmotorsport.de/shop/article ... a3b94fada4This particular one Has the O2 sensor bungs on the header which gets around the problem of installing them into the midpipe as with the GWR header, and also no need to buy the sensor extensions as with the GWR.

MX5 Parts in Uk also has this one but more costly than getting it from I.L.

Remind me again why we should bother helping you?
Especially when it is clear that you can't tell a pair of extractors from "Wheels, Suspension, Brakes & Tyres"?

You might get a better response to your query if you'd posted this in the Engine section.

Don't know about that.
Sure it looks like it's the equivalent of about $50 cheaper from IL if you just use the exchange rates (before transport) but when you deduct VAT from the MX5Parts price they are $30 cheaper. Still not as cheap as Goodwin’s but we’re only splitting hairs now.
Your biggest cost will be transport. Best check out that because that may sway your thinking.

It wasnt a matter of cost. It was the fact that with these headers, the O2 sensors wouldnt need to be located to the midpipe.

Cost me $120 to have the bungs supplied and installed...Not a biggy.
And quite frankly, the GWR is a well tried proven product of known exceptional quality.

Thanks, will definately go the GWR on that basis. Does anyone know Exhaust people in Perth who would fit if I supplied as many wont touch anything they didnt supply? Where are the bungs sourced from?
Thanks Sailor

If you can't do it yourself..and it is a bit of a challenge requiring a fairly good toolkit, then find an MX5 specialist.
The bungs are, as I stated, supply and fit.

I see that GWR only has the sensor available for what they call:- Part Number:"" 61-0098L quote " HEADER INSTALLATION LONG extension cord for second O2 sensor""
Given that there are 2 sensors to be re-located onto the stock midpipe , they dont seem to have for "1st sensor", can anyone clarify this thanks.
Has anyone installed GWR headers onto NC with retaining factory midpipe? Do you get errors (warning light) from ECU?
