whiring sound from rear

My daughter spun the car in the rain and hit a curve hard enough to bend a rear suspension arm and the alignment bolt. Those have been replaced.
However there remains a "whiring" sound. The sound is only noticable above 40k. Sounds sort of like a 4wd with agrressive off road tyres.
Guesses?

Something touching a halfshaft? (Half shaft = an axle between diff and rear hub)
Plastic stone guard stuff from inside rear wheel arch touching tyre?
Piece of the landscape between brake calipers and tyre/wheel?

Hey Jim,
How's things?
I would jack up the rear, put the car in neutral with the handbrake off and go spin some rear wheels. You might find a noisy bearing or at least get an idea of the area of concern.
Let us know how you go.
