Decent tyre pressure gauge?

I'm looking for a decent quality tyre pressure gauge to use at the track.
I've heard there are a lot of inaccurate ones around and you generally need to spend a bit to get one worth owning.
Has anyone used Longacre gauges? I'm considering this one here:

Have you thought about the Snap On types check here they are cheaper
http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/tools.as ... =australia There is a range of dial types there also digital types I have used both at work the dial types are more robust especialy when they have a rubber guard around the gauge.

That is exactly the tyre pressure gauge that I have. I got mine from Revolution Racegear -
http://www.revolutionracegear.com.au/index.php.
Its made of high quality materials and it seems to be very accurate. But the diameter of the end piece (that goes on the tyre valve - don't know what they call them) could be be deeper IMO.
I find that its a tad big and shallow at times and can make getting a good seal on normal rubber car tyre valves hard. I guess its sized that way in order to cover all types of valves (amature to pro).
But its tough and accurate and that is always a good thing.

Thanks for the suggestions.
Are the Accu-gauge ones really any good? They seem too cheap to be accurate!

Yup. Both of mine (different styles) read the same. Double checked with a mate's good one (forgot the brand) and pressures read the same.
They are completely made of metal, mostly brass and steel.
Accu-Gage has been around for a long time, and you gotta be making decent products in order to survive that long.
BTW, the correct spelling is Accu-Gage, ie. minus the "u". Yankees can't spell too well
so if you search "gauge" it might not show up.

fyi GMP as above, have a good sale on Longacre at the moment, and they deliver anywhere
I believe Accu-gage are very good, but many of those who race seem to really regard Longacre as the gauge of choice.

This is useful, but I see it's from early 2011.
Has anything new appeared on the market in the last couple of years that I should be looking at? I'm not a racer, but I do understand that where/how the rubber meets the road is vital!
I drive briskly on winding country roads and I do notice the difference when my tyres are low, and my local servo's pump/gauge is not particularly accurate, of course. I don't want too-cheap rubbish, but I don;t need professional or racer quality either.
Any advice welcome.

I've had a longacre gauge for over 15 years and it's still going strong, so I am more than happy to recommend them as a good brand to get.

I second the longacre. Try here

The one I use is the Longacre Temperature Compensated Digital Tire Pressure Gauge, it does tyre temps as well.

+1 for longacre stuff. Although expensive (in my opinion), I have heard nothing but good things.
I personally use a Competition Tyres gauge.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CompetitionT ... 3f05acf139Pretty good price and have also heard good reviews, hence why i purchased it.
