Where can I find this wheel?

Postby Mr nanotech » Fri Nov 05, 2010 12:59 pm

First off these ARE clones of a RS Watanabe and I already know this. I have a legit set of Wat's on the car but sadly you know what? I prefer the look of the spokes on the Konig rewinds in the lower offsets and these ones too.

Apparently they are made by a company called Fast Forward (is that the same one who makes s/c?)

The Rewinds I'm looking for are these

Now the dimensions I'm after are 15x7 +0 (which are the dimensions of the wheels I've shown in the pics and in my opinion the best spoke shape)

So where can I find a set of these? Do they come in 4x100? Has anyone put a set in that size on their mx5? (on this forum)
How much should I be prepared to pay?

Ozzy tyres do the Kiong Rewind, but last time I checked they didn't do anything those offsets. Have a look around on CR.net for photos of the 15x7+0 rewinds, they should be plenty around.

Haven't ever heard of the FastForward ones.

Konig Rewinds in 15x7 +0 ONLY come in 4x114.3. There have been a couple of people who have re-drilled them to 4x100 (to fit mx5's) though. Example of redrilled rewinds:

Yes, Rota's make a copy and I think they look great. But I'm sure I'm not the only one to tell you to really do research as they have questionable quality.

Did you read the ridiculously high offset? no thanks...

Specs were 15x7 +0!

Yeah not interested in Rota at all buddy. No offence, I know a lot of people like them and I respect that but not for me. I'm all about stepped dish and love wheels with smaller length spokes stepped up with a lot of dish. To me Rota still look like a subpar knock off where as Konig not only are a brand I know and trust but the Rewinds have a name for themselves rather than just another clone.
