Boiling power steering fluid?

I have an NA8 that I use on track and I have noticed that after I have been on track the power steering fluid reservoir has got a layer of fluid on it and the level has dropped a few mil.
So what is going on?
Is it boiling or is it surging up the neck of the reservoir under cornering? It's a bit of a worry because I dont to start a fire!!

Mine has always done it. It's much worse at skidpan sessions than track days. Changing to Redline PS fluid cut the spillage by about half.

What he said. Not boiling, just good ol' centrifugal force.

Is the O-ring on the reservoir cap in good condition or even missing?

Thanks for the tip Garry...I will be sure to check the cap for a seal of some sort!
Good to know it seems to be normal, we should all check our reservoirs and see what condition the seal is in!

You definately can boil the P/S fluid and that is probably what is happening...in the race cars we always fit a P/S cooler...
